The Education coordinator's tasks are very much related to the planning and execution cycle of the academic year?. Hence, below an overview listing a selection of tasks per month, starting with the beginning of the academic year.

Due to all sorts of interdependencies that are often invisible to teaching staff, activities for planning and preparation typically should be completed half a year before the actual teaching starts. Implementation takes a lot of time, which is partly due to the fact that most procedures, processes and deadlines are faculty- or even RU-wide. This applies for instance to deadlines for scheduling and publishing the prospectus. It is the education coordinator's role to keep track of these interdependencies and deadlines, and make sure that programme coordinators know about them so that they can take them into account when curriculum or course changes are being considered.
